Competition Disc (NEW, 2020)

  • The new Competition Disc is a great all-rounder. Disc brakes, tyre clearance up to 35mm and fully internal cable design make this an ultra-modern frame. With Belgian frame geometry it is equally at home in races over the harsh cobbles of Flanders, in Sportives and on Sunday club rides

  • High Modulus Full Carbon Monocoque Design
The use of HM carbon ensures high stiffness by making the fibres smaller and denser. The monocoque design distributes dynamic stress over a wider portion of the frame. Bottom bracket is BB86.5 press-fit

    Belgian Frame Geometry
The new Competition Disc was designed for, and tested on the harsh cobbled roads of Flanders. The downtube shape and bottom bracket junction results in increased stiffness, exactly where it is needed, ensuring that the watts you produce are transmitted directly into forward motion, no matter what the road surface

The steering geometry is slightly more relaxed for smooth, stable handling over the roughest terrain

Fully Internal Cable Routing for Shimano Di2 and Mechanical Groupsets
Both the gear cables / electronic wires and brake hoses enter the frame via the included integrated UD carbon stem, for a super clean look. The downtube features a built-in port for EW-RS910 Di2 junction

Aero Seat Tube and Seat Post
Our independent wind tunnel testing in collaboration with BAE Systems, the British defence contractor, and aerospace company (manufacturer of Eurofighter Typhoon), led to the conclusion that it is much more important to clean up the turbulent "dirty air", caused by the rider (and legs mashing up and down), than the "cleaner air", caused by the bike, in front of the rider. By smoothing the air behind the rider, aerodynamic drag is lowered, which equals more speed. The seat tube on the Competition Disc is an aero profile, and the included full UD carbon seat post shares the same shape for total integration

The seat post also features a graduated scale for reference and easy seat height adjustments

    Asymmetric Tapered Headset
The tapered, oversized 1-1/2" lower headset bearing and fork crown greatly enhances steering precision and helps dissipate vibrations from the front wheel

Box Section Chain Stays for Flat Mount Disc Brakes
The use of box section stays greatly enhances power transmission. The Competition Disc is designed for flat mount disc brakes, and has a 30mm depth at the mounting point for minimal flex under braking

    Generous Tyre Clearance
Clearance for up to 35mm tyres

    UD Carbon
The Competition Disc features a unidirectional carbon finish. The black seen on the frame, fork, stem and seat post is actually clear coated UD carbon

    Metal Head Tube Badge
For the perfect finishing touch the Competition Disc has a metal head tube badge. Because at Flandria, we don't skimp on the finer details

Frame average weight: 1125g (fully painted)
Fork weight: 483g (fully painted, 300mm uncut steerer tube)
    Stem weight: 178g (110mm)
    Seat post weight: 218g
